The Maver Dual Core Pro Hollow Elastic comes under our assessment.

Specification: available in 3-5 (White), 4-7 (Blue), 6-9 (Green), 8-11 (Yellow), 11-13 (Fire Orange), 14-17 (Aurora Pink) and 18-20 (Blaze Orange). The twin-core hollow elastic features an inner amber core, for improved elasticity. The 2.5 and 5 m lengths will elasticate one or two power kits respectively.

My verdict: this extensive range will cover all types of pole fishing, whether you are targeting skimmers or hefty carp.

The amber core offers a more forgiving playing action than the original black core.

I also hear that this elastic doesn’t flatten when stretched to its limit, returning to its original shape after a fish.

The lighter colours in the lower strengths should mean that UV light has less of an impact on the overall strength.
