These Shakespeare Cypry XT Reels are great value for money and solid performing reels.
The 4+1 bearing, freespool reels come in a XT40 FS size, ideal for fishing the likes of the method for fish into ‘doubles’, there’s a 60 size for specimen carp work, stalking and floater fishing.
And for longer range work and spodding and heavier lines there’s an 80 size with a long cast spool. Spool capacities are 215 m of 8 lb, 220 m of 14 lb and 145 m of 20 lb line respectively.
They all come with an aluminium main spool, plus a graphite spare, a front drag, large diameter robust bail wire and a decent grip on the handle. They’re easy on the eye too with their browny bronze and black bodies.
