This Fox Ultra 60 Brolly caught our eye. It has appeal to any specialist angler, spending nights out on the bank, who has a few quid to spare.

There’s too many features to list them all but the ones that impressed us are the Ventec Rip Stop fabric with its 20,000 hydrostatic head. And the removable internal vapour shield to reduce condensation that you can leave in place when you pack up.

We like the extended side skirts on the brolly that offer that little bit more protection from the wind and rain and the rear mozzy vent.

And the fact that the Ultra 60 Brolly comes with a full front zip to allow for an Infill Panel or Mozzy Screen to be added.

Buy it in its Ultra 60 System format and you get the removable front panel with all the door options you need, mozzy mesh windows and the front and side storm poles.

Add some of other features like a khaki or slightly more expensive camou finish option, multiple pegging points, rod straps, heavy-duty groundsheet and pegs and a heavy duty carry bag with full length zip and you can see its appeal.

Price: Brolly £269.99-£289.99. System £385-£400. Infill Panel £130- £134.99. Camou Mozzy Screen £40

Manufacturers’ Comment

“We created the Ultra to give anglers the best possible shelter and comfort from a brolly.

“We have been market leaders in brolly design since the launch of the Supa Brolly and bringing out the Ultra with the additions of a vapour shield and the 20,000 HH Ventec Rip Stop material was the next logical step.

“The Ultra is designed for anyone who loves using a brolly and those who enjoy the comfort of a twin skin bivvy but want to cut down on weight and set-up time.

“Since the initial launch we have had an incredible response, its what many Supa Brolly users have been crying out for and we are happy that we have delivered.

“The quality of the design and fabric is second to none and that has been replicated in the feedback we have had.

“It’s early days but sales so far show that the Ultra Brolly has the potential to overtake the Supa Brolly and become our best selling brolly ever.”
