Yeti coolers appear in new Wetlands Brown colorway, but not everyone is a fan

Just a few days after Yeti officially unveiled its new seasonal Key Lime and Wild Vine colors for coolers and drinkware, yet another shade has been spotted in retail stores throughout the US. However, reception to the new palette has been pretty frosty.

Several sharp-eyed posters in the YetiCoolers subreddit have noticed coolers in the unreleased shade already on shelves in stores, and have snapped pictures to share with other fans of the cult brand. Earlier this week, user SnowMonster911 noticed a version of the soft-sided Yeti Hopper cooler in the new color, and was quick to post a picture (embedded below).

The body of the cooler is a mid-brown color, with tan webbing, orange stitching, an orange logo, and a black zipper.

Some posters were pleased with the new look, but others had their reservations and several suggested the design might have looked better with an orange zipper rather than black.

"This color matchup for the hopper is really disappointing NGL [not gonna lie]", wrote one commenter.

"Agreed. I’m surprised this made it past their approval process," added another. "Yikes."

Other products spotted in Wetlands Brown include a 20oz Yeti Rambler cup (with contrasting orange MagSlider), and a Yeti Tundra hard cooler, which seems to be black with a tan lid and orange latches.

There's no official word on when the new color will become widely available, but some stores began stocking products in Wild Vine red several months in advance, so it could be some time yet. The shade certainly looks quite autumnal, so a late summer or even early fall release seems plausible. We'll keep you updated as soon as we know more.
