Two inspiring outdoors women are set to be part of an event entitled, Tough Girls Talk About: Endurance & Mental Resilience.
Laura Kennington, an Ellis Brigham ambassador, and author and podcaster Sarah Williams are invited to talk at a special webinar on Thursday February 25 at 8pm.
The event, which is hosted by mountain sports retailer Ellis Brigham, explores that being physically strong is only half the battle whether planning a physical adventure or simply navigating the tricky bumps life.
Without the mental resilience, both challenges are much harder to overcome.
Laura is a British adventure athlete who has completed many impressive challenges, notably cycling solo 3700 miles along the North Sea-facing coasts of eight countries, from Scotland to Norway.
She has also cycled Scotland’s North Coast 500 route and run the length of the Spanish island of Fuerteventura (100 miles).
- How to choose a sleeping bag for your next adventure.
- Read about America's toughest trail races.
- An inspiring story of a 1000-mile relay run.
A strong believer in the positive impact that adventure and sport can have on children and adults alike, Laura uses her human-powered journeys as a platform to inspire and encourage others.
Sarah is the creator of the award-winning Tough Girl Podcasts and the founder of Tough Girl Challenges, which aims to motivate and inspire women and girls to get fit and active, travel and explore, and to encourage women and girls to have big dreams and to step outside their comfort zone.
Sarah is also the author of two books, Climbing Kilimanjaro and the Marathon Des Sables, having completed the MDS in 2016.x
A spokesperson for Ellis Brigham said: "We are looking forward to the webinar with these two inspiring women. They will be sure to spark up an insightful chat."
