A leading outdoors brand has launched a special Mont Blanc edition of a popular trail running shoe.

inov-8 has unveiled a black-and-white version of the Trailfly Ultra G 300 Max ultra running footwear. The shoe features the 4810m height of iconic Mont Blanc – Western Europe’s highest peak – on its midsole and footbed. It also has contour lines – inspired by mapping from The Alps region – across the shoe's upper.

The info-8 Trailfly Ultra G 300 Max shoe, which was first launched in March, is designed to include  the brand's innovative Graphene-enhanced foam and rubber

The shoe is aimed at trail runners who run longer distance and look for good grip on the trails.

The Mont Blanc shoe is launched as runners look forward to taking part in the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc later this month, when many of the world’s best runners will race on a course that circumnavigates the mountain. It is also some 235 years since the first recorded ascent of Mont Blanc.

Michael Price, COO of inov-8, said: “We wanted to design a special footwear edition that reflected the toughness of those who push limits on Mont Blanc’s slopes – and what better than on a running shoe that boasts the use of the world’s toughest material, graphene.”

The Mont Blanc themed shoe is priced at £170. See inov-8.
