I set my best ever time at the Manchester Marathon earlier this year fuelled by KMC NRG gels, and I'm going to be stocking up on plenty more because they're going cheap for Amazon Prime Day. Here I've put together a list of all the best options, but you can also browse the full KMC sale yourself if you prefer.

KMC (or Kendal Mint Company) products are all variations on a theme of mint, which makes them refreshingly cooling on a hot day, and less sickly sweet than many other gels, which can sometimes be overwhelming. My personal favourite is Raspberry Mint, which sounds strange but is absolutely delicious.

You can buy a multipack of individual gel sachets, which is convenient, or pick up a large multi-serving pouch to decant into soft reusable flasks, which makes less waste. I chose the latter for Manchester and it worked brilliantly, though I recommend the type of flask with a bite valve rather than a twist cap to avoid potential spillage.

Save £3.80 If you need a bit of an extra boost, this version of KMC's energy gel also includes a hit of caffeine. If citrus and mint sounds a bit strange, it's a bit like a mojito in gel form (sans rum).
